Alicia Hans, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in pediatric mental health and is the owner of a private practice in Fond du Lac, WI.
Alicia has years of comprehensive training and experience working with children and adults treating mental health disorders in a variety of settings. She received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2009, with additional majors of study in Sociology, Legal Studies, and Criminal Justice. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2010, where her focus of practice was School Social Work. From 2011-2017 Alicia worked with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services as a Social Worker - Advanced at the Wisconsin Resource Center, a correctional facility providing mental health treatment to incarcerated persons, for five years and at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute for one year. In these settings she received extensive clinical and professional training in crisis intervention, treating high acuity patients, Trauma Informed Care and formal certification in evidence-based therapeutic treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Alicia found her true niche working with children and their families beginning in 2018 at Catalpa Health, a pediatric mental health treatment agency. There, she worked as a school-based mental health clinician with the Oshkosh Area School District and continued to provide a combination of telemental health and in-person treatment to children and their families through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alicia started her private practice in February 2022 where she specializes in pediatric mental health. She has received formal training in early childhood development, attachment, psychiatric assessment, special considerations for LGBTQ+ youth, trauma, and the treatment of common childhood disorders including Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and PTSD.
Alicia embraces a person-centered, strengths-based approach to working with children and their families to identify treatment goals and create a safe space for learning and healing. In her practice, she uses a combination of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family systems theory, interactive play therapy, supportive counseling, parent coaching, psychoeducation, and is LGBTQ+ affirming. Alicia also has a special interest in working with and supporting mothers' mental health, from perinatal through postpartum experiences and beyond.
In addition to providing services in her office setting, Alicia also provides individual therapy and consulting in schools through the Fondy Cares and ROOTS school-based mental health programs in the Fond du Lac and Oakfield School Districts, respectively.
Alicia is passionate about preventative programming including suicide prevention, recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, increasing access to community mental health services and is an active volunteer in the community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for NAMI Fond du Lac (Board Vice President) and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County (Board Member) and is dedicated to breaking the silence and ending the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Alicia provides a variety of services, based on patient needs, including individual therapy for children and adults, school-based mental health therapy and consulting, family therapy, parent support and coaching.
Alicia values access to quality care and offers payment options through insurance billing and out-of-pocket payments (Insurance Opt-Out agreement required). Sliding scale fee options for patients with out-of-network insurance coverage or uninsured patients can be discussed.
Alicia does accept BadgerCare (Medicaid) insurance, depending on your HMO as not all HMOs are in-network.
